As is known, in January 2023, the highest body of people's power, the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), was created in Turkmenistan. It is empowered to adopt the constitution, constitutional laws, consider amendments and additions to them, the main directions of domestic and foreign policy of the state, and hear annual addresses of the President of the country.
